MARY MACDONALD

Mary MacDonald is a retired Systems Engineer from IBM Corporation. Other business experience includes several years of managing accounts receivable and billing with IBM. She also was an elementary school teacher, did extensive teaching within IBM, taught college classes in computer science at Muskegon Community College and served as a research assistant in the Geography Department at UCSB.

She holds a degrees (A.A.) in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, and (B.A.) Computer Science and Business Management from Metropolitan University, St. Paul, MN.

Currently, she serves as the webmaster for the Italian Cultural Heritage Foundation's website, as well as websites for two other local non-profit organizations: Santa Barbara Chapter of SCORE and the Prime Time Band. She served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for the Prime Time Band for over three years. She was the first woman (and third person) named to the Prime Time Band Hall of Distinction in January 2003.

Mary moved to Santa Barbara in 1993 after her retirement from IBM Corporation. Prior to that, her entire life was spent in the midwest (Michigan and Minnesota). Mary is a member of the President's Council for Santa Barbara City College. She also plays clarinet in the Prime Time Band. She has two children and one granddaughter. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and artwork of various kinds.
